CONWAY, Ark. – Southeastern senior center 
Zevy Ivory fell just short of a double-double with  a game-high 16 points and nine rebounds, but Central Arkansas used a dominant first half to send the Lady Lions to a 75-55 defeat in Southland Conference action Wednesday night at the Farris Center. 
Southeastern fell to 8-11 overall and 2-4 in Southland Conference play. Central Arkansas improved to 14-5 overall and 4-2 in league action. 
Ivory was one of two Lady Lions in double figures, as sophomore guard 
Kelli  Jenkins netted 15 points. Freshman guard 
Erica Burgess was just short of double figures with nine points and led the Lady Lions with two steals. Ivory had a game-high three blocked shots for Southeastern. 
The Lady Lions trailed by 22 at the break and could not overcome a sluggish first half. Southeastern hit 59.3 percent (16-for-27) from the floor in the second half, but got no closer than 18 in the second half.
UCA was led by freshman forward Megan Herbert, who recorded her 19th consecutive double-double with 15 points and 15 rebounds. Sophomore guard Nakeia Guiden added 14 points and dished out a game-high eight assists for the Sugar Bears. Herbert and Guiden were joined in double figures by freshman forward Desiree Rogers and freshman guard Micah Rice with 13 and 11 points, respectively.
The Sugar Bears made 50 percent (29-for-58) of their field goal attempts, including 8-for-19 from three-point range.
Central Arkansas led by as many as 25 in the opening half. Herbert led the UCA effort with eight points and 14 rebounds in the initial 20 minutes. Ivory had 11 points and seven rebounds in the first half for the Lady Lions, but Southeastern connected on only 18.2 percent (6-for-33) of its attempts in the opening half. 
Southeastern will return home on Saturday, hosting Nicholls at 3 p.m. in the University Center. The Lady Lions will welcome back its Alumni to be honored and recognized on Saturday. The game will also be broadcast on the Internet only at www.LionSports.net.
