The commencement ceremony honored students who received degrees following both the summer and fall semesters. Two former Southeastern student-athletes – Jim Hall (football) and Olivier Zieleniecki (men's tennis) completed graduate studies.
The Southeastern football team led the department with eight graduates, followed by baseball, softball and track and field with five graduates each. The volleyball program graduated four student-athletes, while men's basketball and women's soccer graduated two apiece. The women's basketball, men's golf and men's tennis programs had one graduate each.
The group of Lion and Lady Lion graduates included 12 All-Southland Conference selections – Hall, Brad Bardy (football), Antonio Richardson (football), Dwight Womack (track), Melissa Jones (track), Rachel Ray (softball), Arica Rodriguez (softball), Josh Black (baseball), Kevyn Green (men's basketball), Lindsey Dyck (women's soccer), Danielle Shank (women's soccer) and Jazmin Cain (women's basketball).
Also among the graduates were Academic All-SLC honorees Bardy, Hall, Black, Ray, Green, Duck, Cain and Teri Byrum (volleyball).
