HAMMOND, La. – The Southeastern Louisiana University soccer and two-time reigning Southland Conference champion indoor volleyball teams will continue Southland Conference play, while the golf, tennis and softball teams will also be in action during this week in Southeastern Athletics.
 
The SLU soccer team (3-5-3, 2-1-1 SLC) opens the week on the road, traveling to Lamar for a 7 p.m. Thursday SLC tilt. The Lady Lions return home Sunday, hosting Nicholls for a 1 p.m. contest with the Crystal Cup on the line.
 
The Southeastern volleyball team (11-5, 3-1 SLC) returns home for a pair of league matches this week. SLU hosts Northwestern State for a 6:30 p.m. match Thursday. Fans are encouraged to wear green to Thursday's Green Out match. Saturday will see East Texas A&M visit for a noon contest. Saturday's match is dedicated to breast cancer awareness and fans are encouraged to wear pink.
 
The Lion golf team will return to the course this week. Southeastern will be in Jonesboro, Ark. Monday and Tuesday to participate in the Bubba Barnett Intercollegiate.
 
The Southeastern tennis team will open the fall portion of its 2025-26 schedule, heading to Pensacola, Fla. to compete in the UWF Invitational Wednesday through Friday.
 
The two-time reigning Southland Conference Tournament champion softball team continues its fall schedule with a 5 p.m. exhibition versus Coastal Alabama Community College Wednesday at North Oak Park.
 
On the Air
This week's soccer and volleyball action will be televised on ESPN+. Sunday's soccer match, as well as both volleyball's matches, will air on KSLU 90.9 The Lion.
 
The 2025 season of Inside Southeastern Football with Frank Scelfo will continue Monday at 7 p.m. at Brady's in downtown Hammond. Scelfo and host Allen Waddell will discuss all things Lion football on the hour-long show weekly during the season, which airs on the Southeastern Sports Radio Network (Kajun 107.1 FM, The Highway 104.7 FM and The Boss 97.7 FM/WFPR 1400 AM).
