HAMMOND, La. – The Southeastern Louisiana University baseball team returns to action this weekend with a three-game series at Memphis. Games in the non-conference matchup are scheduled for 4:05 p.m. Friday, 2:05 p.m. Saturday and 1:05 p.m. Sunday at FedExPark Avron Fogelman Field in Memphis, Tennessee.
All three games against Memphis (8-4) will be carried on ESPN+. Live stats will be available in the Lions Gameday Experience app and online at www.LionSports.net.
Fans can listen to Southeastern (10-2) game broadcasts in the Hammond area on KSLU 90.9 The Lion. In addition, an audio stream is available online at www.LionSports.net/ListenLive and via the Lions Gameday Experience and MyTuner Radio apps. SLU (10-2) is coming off a three-game sweep of Southland Conference-foe Northwestern State. A midweek game Tuesday at No. 17-ranked Ole Miss was canceled due to the threat of inclement weather. The Lions are hitting .317 as a team with 23 home runs.

Right-hander
Brennan Stuprich (3-0, 0.50) draws the starting nod for the Lions on the mound in the series opener. The redshirt senior from Kenner, Louisiana will be opposed by Memphis junior right-hander Seth Garner (1-0, 2.87).
Saturday's pitching matchup features junior right-hander
Lakin Polk (2-0, 0.64). The junior from Ponchatoula, Louisiana will counter Tiger senior left-hander David Case (1-2, 6.75).
Blake Lobell (1-0, 5.79), a junior right-hander from Holden, Louisiana, earns the start on the mound for Southeastern in the series finale. He will be opposed by Memphis junior right-hander Caden Robinson (1-1, 4.50).
James Smith IV (3.54, 2 HR 10 RBI), Will Vasseur (.340, 4 RBI) and Chase Nixon (.279, 3 HR, 12 RBI) lead the Tigers at the plate.
Memphis is coming off a midweek victory over Little Rock, 13-3, this past Wednesday after taking two of three games in a weekend series at Louisiana Tech.
UP NEXT
Southeastern returns to Pat Kenelly Diamond at Alumni Field for a single, midweek contest Wednesday against Xavier before heading back out on the road for a conference series at Stephen F. Austin State.
First pitch against the Musketeers (7-5) is scheduled for 6 p.m. Kids (12 and under) will be able to stand on the field with their favorite Lion player during the National Anthem prior to the game.
