PRIOR TO SLU: Played two seasons at LSU Eunice, winning a JUCO National Championship in 2024.
2024 [SOPHOMORE]: NJCAA DII Pitcher of the Year … earned a Gold Glove (ABCA/Rawlings) and multiple All-America honors (ABCA, NJCAA) … appeared in 18 games, starting 17 of them … compiled a 14-0 won-loss record and a 2.04 ERA in 101.2 innings pitched … tossed three complete games, including one shutout … allowed 85 hits, holding opponents to a .221 batting average against … walked 19 and struck out 129 batters … earned wins against North Lake (1/27), National Park (2/2), Kellogg CC (2/16), SAU Tech (2/23), Garrett College (3/1), Southeastern Iowa CC (3/9), North Iowa Area CC (3/15), Central Alabama (3/23), Southeast Arkansas (3/29 and 4/13), Delgado (4/6 and 4/27), Jones College (5/14) and Kellogg CC in the JUCO World Series (5/26) … recorded double-digit strikeouts five times, including a career-high 13 against North Iowa Area CC … shutout Delgado (4/27), along with future SLU teammates Luke Barbier and Giovanni Licciardi … earned NJCAA DI All-Tournament honors and the Region 23 Gold Glove Award.
2023 [FRESHMAN]: Appeared in 17 games, starting six … compiled a 6-0 win-loss record and a 3.07 ERA in 41.0 innings pitched … allowed 39 hits, holding opponents to a .245 batting average against … walked 14 and struck out 48 batters … earned wins against National Park (2/5), Monroe College (2/12), Mississippi Delta (2/24), Panola (4/2), Wallace CC-Dothan (4/15) and East Central (5/18) … struck out a season-high eight batters against Monroe College … tossed seven shutout innings to earn the W against East Central in his final outing of the season.
HIGH SCHOOL: Played baseball (pitcher, catcher, third base and shortstop) for Chris Blanchard at Springfield HS … earned All-State honors as a senior, along with All-Metro, All-Parish, Parish MVP, All-District, District MVP and Region 10 Pitcher of the Year … also earned All-Parish and All-District honors as a junior … participated in FCA, Beta Club and STEM Club.
PERSONAL: Born in Springfield, Louisiana … son of Heather and Hunt Lobell … mother is a Southeastern alum … older brother Logan plays baseball at Louisiana Christian … enjoys duck hunting, fishing and golfing … majoring in sport management at Southeastern.
