OXFORD, Miss. – The Southeastern Louisiana University women's soccer team continued its season-opening six-game road swing with a 3-1 loss at Ole Miss Saturday evening at Ole Miss Soccer Stadium.
Southeastern (1-2-0) fell behind early, but held the Rebels (2-1-0) scoreless for the final 70 minutes of the contest. Lady Lion goalkeeper

Mya Guillory found the net for the second straight match to help SLU avoid the shutout. The reigning Southland Conference Midfielder and Student-Athlete of the Year scored in the 70
th minute.
Ole Miss wasted no time taking the early advantage. Jenna Kemp scored off a feed from Lauren Montgomery in the fifth minute to give the Rebels a 1-0 lead.
Ole Miss doubled its lead just over a minute later. Hailey Cloud netted a goal to put the Rebels up, 2-0.
Kelly Brady extended the lead in the 21
st minute. Hattie Patterson found Brady, who sent a shot past a diving Griffin to give Ole Miss a 3-0 cushion.
The teams endured a lengthy lightning delay before returning to action. Guillory scored an unassisted goal past Ole Miss goalkeeper Shu Ohba midway through the second half, but Southeastern would get no closer.
Southeastern will return to action Friday, traveling to Southern for a 7 p.m. contest.
