HAMMOND, La. – The Southeastern Louisiana University baseball team returns to Southland Conference action this weekend, hosting Texas A&M-Corpus Christi in a three-game series at Pat Kenelly Diamond at Alumni Field.
Games are slated for 6 p.m. Friday, 2 p.m. Saturday and 1 p.m. Sunday. All three games will air on ESPN+.
Saturday's game against the Islanders (15-15, 2-4 SLC) is part of the annual Super Lion Saturday festivities that include the Lion Football Spring Showcase.
Fans in the Hammond area can also listen on the flagship station of the Southeastern Sports Radio Network – KSLU 90.9 FM – in addition to online at www.LionSports.net/ListenLive and via both the Lions Gameday Experience, Mixlr and MyTuner Radio apps. Will Kinzeler (2-0, 2.62), a sophomore right-hander from Covington, Louisiana, takes the ball for SLU (11-18, 2-4 SLC) in the opener against Islander freshman left-hander Zach Garcia (2-2, 2.39). Kinzeler leads the Southland in innings pitched (44.2) while ranking second in ERA and sixth in strikeouts (37).

Adam Guth (1-1, 4.35) draws the Lions' starting assignment Saturday opposite A&M-Corpus Christi senior right-hander Hayden Thomas (4-2, 4.31). Thomas enters the weekend tied for the conference lead in pitching victories and is tied with Kinzeler in strikeouts.
In Sunday's series finale, the Islanders plan to start redshirt junior southpaw Jaime Ramirez Jr. (1-0, 4.25). Southeastern has not announced a starting pitcher for the contest.
The Lions have won three consecutive games, claiming a conference series at UIW this past weekend and then walking-off Troy, 5-4, Wednesday in midweek action.

Champ Artigues (.268) pace Southeastern at the plate. Faulkner leads the squad with 17 extra-base hits, including a Southland-leading seven home runs to go along with 25 RBIs.

Rhett Rosevear is the national leader in HBPs (19) while SLU ranks third nationally as a team (65).
The Islanders were swept in a three-game conference series at Northwestern State this past weekend before falling, 6-2, in an exhibition game Wednesday against the Corpus Christi Hooks, the Double-A affiliate of the Houston Astros.
Brendan Ryan (.376), Max Puls (.307) and Leo Markotic (.295) are the Islanders' leading hitters. Steven Rivera-Chijin paces the offense with 15 extra-base hits. Ryan leads the Southland, and ranks 12
th nationally, with 18 stolen bases.
UP NEXT
Southeastern returns to the road Tuesday for a 6 p.m. non-conference contest at No. 18-ranked Southern Miss in Hattiesburg, Mississippi. The game is slated for broadcast on ESPN+.

Single-game tickets are on sale for the remainder of the regular season. Fans are encouraged to purchase tickets in advance to minimize ticket lines on game days. Southeastern students are encouraged to contact the ticket office prior to the game to reserve theirs in advance.
General admission tickets are $9 for adults and $6 for youth (ages 3-12). Southeastern students, with a university ID, and children under age 2 are admitted free. Gameday parking is $5 per day for standard vehicles and $25 for RVs.

Office hours are 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday-Thursday and 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. on Fridays. The ticket booth at Pat Kenelly Diamond at Alumni Field opens exactly one hour prior to the scheduled first pitch.
Southeastern uses mobile ticketing as the primary method for distributing tickets purchased online. Tickets will be available via text message or email in a PDF format for fans to download on their phone or print at home. Tickets can also be downloaded to Apple Wallet.
PARKING CONSTRUCTION
The university is slated to repave a portion of the baseball parking lot, April 13-29, affecting home games against New Orleans (April 14-16), South Alabama (April 19) and Southern Miss (April 26). Additional parking will be available in the parking garage and in the lot north of the garage.
