NEW ORLEANS, La. – The Southeastern Louisiana University volleyball team swept past New Orleans, 25-21, 30-28, 25-18, in Southland Conference action Saturday at the Human Performance Center.
 
SLU (6-12, 5-2 SLC) picked up its third consecutive road victory and moved into a tie for second place in the conference standings with HBU.
 
The Lady Lions' offensive attack dominated UNO (1-14, 1-6 SLC), hitting a combined .287 for the match.
 
Cicily Hidalgo, the Southland leader in kills, and Addie Vidrine recorded 10 kills apiece. Karlee Wilkerson, a senior from Springfield, Louisiana, chipped in seven kills for Southeastern. Hannah Brewer, a freshman from Benton, Arkansas, hit .857 (six kills, no errors, seven attacks) while contributing five total blocks.
 
Ariana Hebert (18 assists) and Gracie Duplechein (16 assists) split setting duties.
 
Hidalgo also led the team in digs, picking up 12 digs for her eighth double-double of the season. Calli Collins, a sophomore libero from Columbus, Texas, added nine digs.

Southeastern's non-conference match at Jackson State, postponed in the aftermath of Hurricane Ida, is now set for 6 p.m. Tuesday at the Lee E. Williams Athletic and Assembly Center in Jackson, Mississippi.
