The top eight teams advance to the Southland Conference Tournament, scheduled for March 12-15 in the Merrell Center in Katy, Texas. McNeese has been eliminated from postseason contention.

SLU went toe-to-toe with another of the league's top teams on Saturday, before ultimately falling, 68-62, to Abilene Christian. Four Lady Lions finished in double figures, but the visitors shot 50.9 percent (28-for-55) from the floor to hold off Southeastern's upset bid.

Caitlyn Williams posted her fourth double-double of the season with 12 points and 10 rebounds, while Hailey Giaratano dished out a season-high six assists to lead all players.

Horne (9.8 ppg), Jyar Francis (9.6 ppg), Carrier (7.9 ppg), Williams (7.4 ppg) and Charliee Dugas (7.0 ppg) are the other top scorers for SLU. Horne enters Wednesday's game ranked third in the Southland with 3.9 assists per contest. Tyler Morrison is 10th in school history with 264 career assists.

Williams is sixth in the league with 1.2 blocked shots per game. Her 72 career blocks are the eighth-highest total ever by a Lady Lion.

McNeese comes to Hammond looking to snap a seven-game losing streak. The Cowgirls' last victory was an 88-72 home win over Houston Baptist on Jan. 25.
