SLU came out scorching in the first half as they took a 13-6 lead to start the game highlighted by three three-pointers from Okafor. The Bulldogs, however, hung tough and rallied to tie the game at 33-33 at halftime thanks to seven first-half three-pointers.

The two teams battled back and forth early in the second half with the lead see-sawing. When the dust settled, the Bulldogs had a slim, 66-63 lead with 3:34 to go. However, LTU finished the game on a 12-3 run to hold off a valiant effort from the Lions.

Southeastern shot 28-for-49 (57 percent) while Louisiana Tech 28-for-58 (48 percent). The difference in the game was at the free throw line.
