Idle Lions Ranked in Both STATS FCS Top 25 and AFCA FCS Coaches Poll

Lions sit at No. 23 (STATS) and No. 24 (Coaches) heading into first road game of 2019

HAMMOND, La.  – After Bethune-Cookman cancelled the Southeastern Louisiana football team's scheduled visit last Saturday due to the potential effects of Hurricane Dorian, the Lions remained ranked in the STATS FCS Top 25 and made its debut in the AFCA FCS Coaches poll.

Southeastern is joined in the STATS Top 25 by fellow Southland Conference schools Nicholls (No. 12), Central Arkansas (No. 14) and Sam Houston State (No. 24). League foes McNeese and Lamar are also receiving votes.

In the coaches poll, No. 11 Nicholls, No. 14 UCA, No. 21 Sam Houston State and No. 24 SLU represent the Southland, while Lamar and UIW are receiving votes.
