HAMMOND, La. – Southeastern Louisiana knocked off Jackson State in four sets Saturday at the University Center, 25-18, 17-25, 25-18, 25-18, closing out the Lion Up Classic with a win.
 
The Lady Lions (3-7) bounced back from their worst offensive performance of the season, Friday's loss to California Baptist, with a sold .221 attack percentage against Jackson State (3-8).
 
Jodi Edo, a senior from Baton Rouge, Louisiana, led the way for Southeastern, hitting at a .412 clip and posting a career-high 18 kills. She also had a hand in on two of the team's six blocks. Edo was named to the All-Tournament team for her efforts.
 
Sam Gomez, a junior from Mandeville, Louisiana, contributed an additional 11 kills and Baylee Laskoskie dished out 38 assists to aid the Lady Lions' offensive attack.
 
Alexis Pratt (17), Lizzy Low (15) and Caroline Golden (10), a junior from Mandeville, each reached double-figures in digs.
 
Low, a freshman from Lafayette, Louisiana, and Laskoskie, a freshman from Spring, Texas, served up four and three aces, respectively.
 
UP NEXT
Southeastern returns to the road next week for a nonconference match Wednesday at Mississippi Valley State, and a trio of matchups Friday and Saturday in the Comfort Inn-vitational at Morehead, Kentucky.
