HAMMOND, La. – The Southeastern Louisiana football, volleyball and soccer teams will be in action and the debut episode of Inside Southeastern Football with
Frank Scelfo airs during this week in Southeastern Athletics.
Fresh off a convincing 35-14 victory over five-time defending Ohio Valley Conference champion and No. 6 Jacksonville State, the SLU football team (1-0) will open the road portion of its 2019 schedule with a 3 p.m. (CDT) contest at Bethune-Cookman on Saturday. The game will air on the Southeastern Sports Radio Network (KSLU-FM (90.9), Kajun 107.1 FM, The Highway 104.7 FM and The Boss 1400 AM/103.7 FM). Fans can also listen live at

The Lady Lion soccer team (1-1-1) will also open its road schedule this week. On Thursday, Southeastern travels to Tennessee for a 7 p.m. match that will be broadcast on SEC Network+. On Sunday, SLU returns home to host South Alabama on Sunday at 6 p.m. in Strawberry Stadium.

The Southeastern volleyball team (0-3) will continue its season-opening seven-match road swing this week. On Tuesday, SLU will be at Tulane for a 7 p.m. match. The Lady Lions then head to Carbondale, Illinois to compete in the Saluki Bash.
Southeastern opens the tournament with a 10 a.m. match versus Southern Illinois-Edwardsville on Friday, before facing Alabama A&M later in the day at 5 p.m. The Lady Lions close out play with a 1:30 p.m. match versus host Southern Illinois on Saturday.
Inside Southeastern Football With
Frank Scelfo will debut on Tuesday at 7 p.m. at Tope La Catering in downtown Hammond.
Hosted by Scelfo, the Lions' second-year head coach, and Allen Waddell, the hour-long show will air weekly from Tope La Catering, located at 113 East Thomas Street. The season's first show will air on Tuesday due to Labor Day. The season's remaining shows will be held each Monday through Nov. 18 with a 7 p.m. start for each.
