HAMMOND, La. – The Southeastern Louisiana women's basketball team will close out the 2018-19 season with a pair of Southland Conference road contests, starting with a 7 p.m. contest at New Orleans on Wednesday.

The Lady Lions (9-18, 4-12 Southland) were eliminated from postseason contention with a 60-56 double-overtime loss to Northwestern State in the home finale last Saturday. Charliee Dugas led SLU with a game-high 24 points, while Ashailee Brailey added 13 points. Kyla Williams led Southeastern with a career-high 12 rebounds, but the Lady Lions was unable to prevent their six-game losing streak from continuing.

SLU heads into the final week of the season averaging 57.6 points per game. Celica Sterling leads the team and ranks 10th in the Southland with 13.8 points per game. Dugas (10.8 ppg), Jaclyn Scholvin (9.7 ppg) and Caitlyn Williams (7.7 ppg) are the other top scorers for the Lady Lions.

Sterling is also third in the Southland with 58 three-point field goals. Brailey is ninth all-time on the school's career list with 100 three-point field goals made.

A pair of Lady Lions sit among the league leaders in assists. Tyler Morrison (3.6 apg, 6th) and Scholvin (3.0 apg, 13th) are both among the Southland's top distributors.

The Lady Lions are yielding 65.8 points and forcing 17.6 turnovers per game. Scholvin and Morrison pace the squad with 43 and 42 steals, respectively, while Cailtyn Williams has blocked a team-high 20 shots.

New Orleans started the conference season with a 1-7 record, but bounced back by winning six of its last nine games. The Privateers have played their last four games away from home heading into Wednesday's game, which doubles as UNO's regular season finale.

Southeastern is 21-25 all-time versus UNO, which has won the last four meetings between the two teams. The Privateers closed out a 61-58 victory over SLU with a 7-0 run back on Feb. 20 in Hammond.

In the first meeting, Sterling and Dugas shared the team lead with 15 points, while Caitlyn Williams added 12 points. Dionjhae Thomas led New Orleans with 18 points, while Woods posted a double-double with 11 points and 10 rebounds.
