HAMMOND, La. – Four members of the Southeastern Louisiana football program were named to the 2019 Louisiana Sports Writers Association (LSWA) All-Louisiana Collegiate Football Teams, which the LSWA announced on Wednesday.
SLU senior defensive end
Isaac Adeyemi-Berglund led the way for the Lion contingent as a first team selection. Senior offensive lineman
Pat Allen and sophomore defensive back
Ferlando Jordan were second team choices, while senior tight end
Bransen Schwebel was an honorable mention choice.
Adeyemi-Berglund, Allen and Schwebel were each named All-Louisiana for the second straight season.
Adeyemi-Berglund finished the season with a team-high 15.0 tackles for loss and 7.5 sacks, as the Lion defense ranked among the FCS leaders in both categories. Allen's all-state selection adds to his previous first team All-Southland Conference and second team AFCA Coaches All-America honors. The Reisertown, Maryland product started every game at left tackle for the Southland's top offense that ranked among the FCS leaders in passing offense (354.4 ypg, 2

Like Allen, Jordan added to an impressive postseason trophy case. The first team All-Southland Conference choice was a third team All-America selection by HERO Sports, the Associated Press and STATS. The Atlanta, Georgia native shared the Southland lead with five interceptions and was third in the league with eight pass breakups. Jordan set a single-season school record with three interceptions returned for touchdowns.
Schwebel was a second team All-Southland Conference selection after serving as the league's top pass catching tight end. In his final season at SLU, the Amite, Louisiana native caught 50 passes for 609 yards and four touchdowns. He was one of a FCS-high five Lion receivers with 500 yards or more.
