HAMMOND, La. – A career-high 26 kills from Jodi Edo was not enough Saturday for Southeastern Louisiana as the Lady Lions fell to Central Arkansas in five sets, 23-25, 25-23, 17-25, 25-18, 15-7, in Southland Conference action at the University Center.
 
Southeastern (12-14, 6-6 Southland) missed a chance to put some distance between itself and the Sugar Bears (12-13, 6-6 Southland) in the conference standings. Both teams are now tied for sixth place with the top eight schools qualifying for the Southland Conference Tournament in two weeks.
 
Edo, a senior from Baton Rouge, Louisiana, also led the Lady Lions with a .489 attack percentage, swinging over .300 for the fourth-straight match and the 15th time this season. She also had a hand in four of the teams' 10 total blocks, including a pair of solos.
 
Sam Gomez, a junior from Mandeville, Louisiana, added 12 kills and five blocks. Baylee Laskoskie dished out a career-high 52 assists.
 
Alexis Pratt contributed a game-high 17 digs and Lizzy Low chipped in 10 more for Southeastern.
 
UP NEXT
Southeastern heads back out on the road for the final time during the 2019 regular season, playing conference matches Thursday at McNeese (9-14, 2-9 Southland) and Saturday at Lamar (8-13, 3-8 Southland). The Lady Lions return to the University Center the following week, wrapping up the regular season by hosting Nicholls, Nov. 12, and Sam Houston State (12-11, 8-3 Southland), Nov. 16.
