LAKE CHARLES, La. – A career-high eight total blocks by Jodi Edo helped Southeastern Louisiana to a four-set win over McNeese, 25-20, 24-26, 25-12, 25-22, Thursday at the Health & Human Performance Arena.
 
With the win over the Cowgirls (10-15, 3-10 Southland), Southeastern (13-14, 7-6 Southland) pulls into a tie for fifth place in the Southland Conference standings with Central Arkansas (13-13, 7-6 Southland) and Houston Baptist (15-13, 7-6 Southland).
 
Caroline Golden, a junior from Mandeville, Louisiana, led all players with a career-high 21 kills. Karlee Wilkerson, a sophomore from Springfield, Louisiana, added 10 kills and Jodi Edo chipped in nine. All three players posted a .300 or better attack percentage in the match.
 
Baylee Laskoskie dished out 44 assists and contributed 12 digs, turning in her ninth double-double this season. The Lady Lions served up eight aces, including three by Laskoskie and a pair each by Lizzy Low and Ryan Maddera.
 
Five of Edo's blocks were solo. The senior from Baton Rouge, Louisiana leads the Southland with 29 solo blocks. Alexis Pratt led Southeastern with 15 digs and Low, a freshman from Lafayette, Louisiana, contributed 12 more.
 
Southeastern's magic number for clinching a Southland Conference Tournament bid is one. Either one more Lady Lion win or a loss by New Orleans (12-16, 5-9 Southland) will put Southeastern in the tournament for the first time since the 2016 season.
