HAMMOND, La. –
The Southeastern men's basketball team wraps up a three-game home stand Sunday afternoon with hopes of evening their record when they host the University of Mobile at 1 p.m.
 
The Lions (1-2) dropped a tough one to Grambling State Wednesday night at home, 81-70. Southeastern battled for the majority of 40 minutes with GSU leading 39-35 at halftime and 64-62 with 7:19 remaining. However, the Tigers went on a 10-0 run to take a 74-62 lead with 2:17 left and would hold on for the win.
 
SLU enters Sunday's game led by sophomore Ty Brewer. The Meridian, Mississippi native leads the team in scoring (14.7 ppg) and rebounding (8.3 rpg) through three games.
 
Senior Von Julien has provided the Lions with scoring, rebounding and assists. The Reserve, Louisiana native leads the team in assists with 15. The Riverside Academy grad is also second on the team in scoring (9.3 ppg) and is third in rebounding (4.7 rpg).
 
The Rams (2-2) come into Sunday's contest under first year head coach Darnell Archey following a blowout win over Pensacola Christian, 95-53.
 
UM is led by senior Will Stanford in scoring. The Birmingham, Alabama native is averaging 14.3 points per game and is shooting 21-for-38 (55 percent) from the field. He also is second in the team in rebounding (6.5 rpg).

Following Sunday's Game, the Lions will embark on a three-game road trip to face Tulsa Wednesday night at 7 p.m. SLU will then make the 600 mile trip to Clarksville, Tennessee to face Austin Peay State University Saturday at 4 p.m. Southeastern will wrap up the trip with a primetime game on the SEC Network against Vanderbilt Monday, Nov. 25 at 7 p.m. All three games will be broadcast live on KSLU 90.9
