HUNTSVILLE, Texas – First-place Sam Houston State snapped Southeastern Louisiana's three-match win streak Saturday, 25-16, 25-23, 25-21, in Southland Conference action at Johnson Coliseum.
Southeastern (8-10, 3-2 Southland) rebounded after a sluggish start offensively, but it was not enough to overcome a varied offensive attack by the Bearkats (8-8, 4-0 Southland).
Jodi Edo and
Karlee Wilkerson contributed 11 kills apiece to pace the Lady Lion offense. In her first action since Sept. 7 at Southern Illinois,
Ariana Hebert handed out 22 assists.
Baylee Laskoskie dished out an additional 11 for Southeastern.
Jolie Hidalgo, a freshman from Lafayette, Louisiana, led the Lady Lions with 12 digs.
Alexis Pratt chipped in another 10 on the defensive end. Edo, a senior from Baton Rouge, Louisiana, had a hand in six of the team's match-high seven blocks.

Southeastern returns home to the University Center for its Homecoming match against conference foe Northwestern State. First serve is scheduled for 7 p.m. Thursday.
