HAMMOND, La.  – The Southeastern Louisiana basketball, tennis and track teams will all be in action during this week in Southeastern Athletics.
 
The Lion men's basketball team (8-12, 4-3 Southland) carries a four-game winning streak into Wednesday's Southland Conference showdown with league-leading Sam Houston State at 7 p.m. in the University Center.
 
In conjunction with Wednesday's contest, Southeastern Athletics Marketing and Student Promotions will host the annual Jam the Jungle promotion. The first 300 SLU students will receive free jambalaya and fun in-game promotions will be featured.
 
Also on Wednesday, the Lady Lions (8-10, 3-4 Southland) will continue Southland Conference play on the road. SLU will be in Huntsville, Texas to face Sam Houston State at 6:30 p.m.
 
On Saturday, the Lions and Lady Lions will both be home, hosting in-state and conference foe Nicholls for a doubleheader in the University Center. The women's game opens the day's action at 1 p.m., followed by the men's game at 4 p.m. Saturday will be Youth Day in the UC, as all fans 12 and under will receive free admission. Any fans with a valid middle school, junior high or high school ID will receive a $3 ticket.
 
Tyler Morrison will be Saturday's Spotlight Player of the Game. The first 150 fans to the women's game will receive a trading card featuring the Baton Rouge native courtesy of PRIDE.
 
Fans will have the opportunity to watch all of this week's basketball action. The Southeastern Channel will televise Wednesday's men's game on a tape delay and the game will be streamed on the Southland Digital Network at www.Southland.org/live and via the Southland apps available for iPhone, Android, Apple TV, Amazon Fire TV and Roku.
 
The rest of the week's action can be seen on the ESPN family of networks. The SLU-SHSU women's game on Wednesday will be seen on ESPN+. Saturday's Southeastern-Nicholls doubleheader will air on ESPN3.
 
Both of this week's women's basketball games and Saturday's men's basketball contest can be heard live in the Hammond area on KSLU-FM (90.9), online at www.LionSports.net/listenlive and via the Lions Game Day Experience, Radio FX and TuneIn Radio apps.
 
Also on Saturday, the Lion tennis team (0-0) will open its spring home schedule, as SLU will host LSU Alexandria at 12 p.m. at the Southeastern Tennis Complex. On Sunday, Southeastern heads to Alcorn State for a 1 p.m. match.
 
The SLU track and field teams will compete in a pair of events this week. Members of the Lions and Lady Lions will participate in the Bayou Bengal Invitational on Friday in Baton Rouge and the South Alabama Invitational on Sunday in Mobile, Alabama.
 
Supporters of the Southeastern baseball program will gather for the annual First Pitch Banquet on Feb. 1 from 7-10 p.m. at Le Fleur De Lis Reception Hall in Ponchatoula. For more information on the event or to purchase tickets, visit www.LionSports.net/FirstPitchBanquet.
 
The latest episode of Inside Southeastern Basketball with Jay Ladner, hosted by Ladner and Allen Waddell is set for Monday at 7 p.m. The hour-long radio show will air weekly from Rainbow Daiquiris, located at 14384 West Thomas Street. The show will be held each Monday through March 4.
 
The show will air on the Southeastern Sports Radio Network (KSLU-FM (90.9), Kajun 107.1 FM, The Highway 104.7 FM and WFPR 1400 AM). Fans can also listen live at www.LionSports.net/listenlive and via the Radio FX and TuneIn Radio apps.
