NATCHITOCHES, La. – Southeastern Louisiana dropped a Southland Conference volleyball match in straight sets at Northwestern State, 25-20, 25-23, 25-23, Tuesday in Prather Coliseum.
Northwestern State (11-13, 7-7 Southland) defeated the Lady Lions (2-25, 1-13 Southland) for the second time in as many matches, winning the season series.
Jodi Edo, a junior from Baton Rouge, Louisiana, led Southeastern with 11 kills.
Sam Gomez (.500), Edo (.350) and
Elyssa Purcell (.350) each turned in .350 attack percentages or better.
Michelle Mirarchi (19 assists) and
Haley Baker (16 assists) split setting duties.
Tempestt Vaughn had a hand in three of the Lady Lions' five team blocks. Gomez contributed on a pair, including her 29th solo block of the season, placing her just outside of the Top 10 in program history for a single season.
Lexie Torres led all players with 20 digs, besting conference-leader Channing Burleson (17) of Northwestern State in the match.

Southeastern concludes the 2018 season this week with Southland Conference volleyball matches Thursday at McNeese and Saturday at Lamar.
The Lady Lions match up against McNeese (8-21, 6-8 Southland) at 6:30 p.m. Thursday in Lake Charles, Louisiana. Saturday's contest against Lamar (6-19, 3-11 Southland) is slated for 10 a.m. in Beaumont, Texas.
