NEW ORLEANS, La. – The Southeastern Louisiana men's basketball team will look to even their record at 4-4 Saturday afternoon at 3:30 p.m. when they face Tulane University on the road at Avron B. Fogelman Arena.

The Lions (3-4) are coming off a sizzling shooting night against Louisiana College. SLU shot 60 percent (34-for-56) in an 86-71 win Monday night against LC at the University Center.

Senior Moses Greenwood recorded his third straight double-double scoring a career-high 27 points and grabbing 10 rebounds. The Sharon, Mississippi native leads the team in scoring and rebounding averaging 16.4 points and 8.4 rebounds per game. The Velma Jackson High School grad has scored 1,062 points for his career joining teammate Marlain Veal (1233 points) as one of 18 players in program history to score 1000 plus points.

Veal, the senior point guard, continued to add to his enormous resume. The New Orleans native scored 18 points and had five steals against Louisiana College becoming the all-time program record-holder for steals with 176.

Greenwood, Veal and Southeastern will look to carry that momentum into Saturday's game with Tulane (2-4). The Lions and Green Wave matched up last year in New Orleans with Tulane winning 89-66. Veal led SLU with 25 points and four assists as the Lions hung tough in the first half trailing 44-36 at the half before the Green Wave pulled away.

Tulane is looking to bounce back from Wednesday's 80-76 loss at home against Georgia State under third-year head coach and former NBA head coach Mike Dunleavy Sr. The 1999 NBA Coach of the Year was head coach for the Los Angeles Clippers, Portland Trail Blazers, Milwaukee Bucks and Los Angeles Lakers. He guided the Trail Blazers to the Western Conference Finals three years in a row (1998-2000) and compiled a 613-716 (.461) career record from 1988-2010.

Tulane, has three players averaging double figures in scoring led by New Orleans natives Caleb Daniels and Jordan Carnish. Daniels, a St. Augustine grad, (6-4, 180, G, So.) is averaging 15.3 points. Carnish, a Brother Martin grad (6-6, 225, G, Sr.) is averaging 12.5. Samir Sehic (6-9, 235, F, Cypress, Texas) is averaging 11.7 points and 7.8 rebounds a game.
