Weather, Travel Curfew Force Cancellation of Regular Season Finale

Lions await outcome of Lamar-McNeese contest for tournament opponent

HAMMOND, La. – A combination of weather and a travel curfew forced the cancellation Saturday of Southeastern Louisiana's regular season finale against Seton Hall.

Southeastern (35-18) returns to action Wednesday at 12 p.m. in the opening round of the 2017 Southland Conference Baseball Tournament at Constellation Field in Sugar Land, Texas.

The tournament field is set with eight teams, but seeding of teams 5-8 is dependent on the outcome of Saturday's regular season finale in Lake Charles, Louisiana, between Lamar and regular season champion McNeese.

As the No. 2-seeded team, Southeastern will face the No. 7 seed in the opening round of the double-elimination tournament.
