HAMMOND, La. – Southeastern Louisiana starts a six-game road trip at Tulane Monday at 7 p.m. at Fogelman Arena in the Devlin Fieldhouse.

The game between the Lions (1-0) and Green Wave (1-0) will be broadcast on Cox Sports Television and on ESPN3 outside of the CST viewing area. Live stats, provided by Tulane, will be accessible on the Southeastern men's basketball schedule page at www.LionSports.net.

Southeastern had five players in double figures in scoring its most points in a season opener in eight years in a 99-67 victory over Centenary Friday night in the University Center. The Lions matched the 99 points they scored in a 99-50 win over the University of Science and Arts to open the 2009-10 campaign.

Senior guard Eddy Polanco led Southeastern with 18 points. Junior guard Marlain Veal tossed in 17 points and had six assists while senior forward Jordan Capps, seeing his first action in nearly a year, added 14 points.  Senior guard Jabbar Singleton contributed 12 points and senior forward James Currington 10. Junior forward Moses Greenwood had a game-high nine rebounds for the Lions who shot 53.7 percent from the field and out-rebounded Centenary 36-25.

Tulane opened the season with a 102-61 home win over LIU Brooklyn on Friday. Senior forward Cameron Reynolds led six players in double figures with 24 points. Junior Melvin Frazier added 19 points while sophomore forward Samir Sehic came off the bench to record a double-double with 17 points and 14 rebounds.  Junior guard Jordan Cornish also had 17 points. Sophomore guard Ray Ona Embo had 11 points while dishing out nine assists. Sophomore guard Colin Slater contributed 10 points in reserve. The Green Wave shot 51.4 percent while holding a 46-32 rebound edge.

Reynolds (17.0 ppg, 6.8 rpg), Frazier (11.5 ppg 4.6 rpg) and Ona Embo (6.4 ppg, 2.2 apg) return from a squad that went 6-25 overall and finished 10th in the American Athletic Conference in 2016-17. Cornish, who sat out the season after transferring, and junior center Blake Paul are the other projected starters with Sehic and Slater the top reserves.

Mike Dunleavy Sr. is in his second season as head coach of the Wave.

NOTES
Southeastern's six-game road trip, which runs through Nov. 25 against Mississippi Valley State in the Savannah Invitational in Birmingham, Ala., is its longest stretch away from Hammond since a seven-game span from Dec. 4, 2010 to Jan. 2, 2011.

Despite being located less than  60 minutes apart Southeastern and Tulane will be meeting for just the 12th time overall and the fourth time since the 1997-98 season. The Green Wave hold a 9-2 lead in the series that dates back to the 1949-50 season after taking a 93-76 win in New Orleans in 2016.

Southeastern has two players from the New Orleans area in Singleton (Brother Martin HS) and Veal (Helen Cox HS). Junior guard Von Julien is sitting out the 2017-18 season after transferring from Tulane this offseason. Julien played in 17 games for the Wave in 2016-17, averaging 2.5 points with 22 assists. He had two points and a rebound in Tulane's win over the Lions.

Veal was named Southland Player of the Week after tossing in a game-high 28 points against Tulane last season.
