QUOTES
Southeastern head coach Chris McBride:
On falling behind by two goals…
"Offensively, we knew they were going to score. They have scored a lot of goals this season and we knew it was a hard job to shut them out. It was a fight to get back after the first one and we pushed and pushed and they got the second one. Once you're down two, it's a real battle to come back. We got one back but we just struggled to find the second."
On the team's defense…
"We just lacked a little bit of energy. Obviously we're still a little fatigued from the road trip last weekend and playing a pair of double overtimes. We just came out a little flat. They did well. They created good chances and good spaces and scored two goals. Once they went up two goals, it was hard to come back."
On the team's road trip to Stephen F. Austin and Sam Houston next weekend…
"We're back on the road next Friday, traveling to Stephen F. Austin and then to Sam Houston on Sunday. Another tough road trip. There are no easy games in this conference so we're just going to have to be prepared and be ready for the fight next weekend."
UP NEXT
Southeastern travels to Stephen F. Austin for a 7 p.m. match next Friday before playing at Sam Houston State Sunday at 1 p.m.
