HAMMOND, La. – Southeastern Louisiana dropped its home finale Saturday, falling in three sets to Stephen F. Austin, 25-14, 25-11, 25-18, in Southland Conference volleyball action at the University Center.
SFA (23-5, 11-1 Southland) maintains a hold on first place in the Southland standings with the win, while the loss officially eliminates the Lady Lions (2-24, 0-12 Southland) from postseason consideration.
The Ladyjacks hit .350 in the match, served up seven aces and threw down 11 team blocks. Southeastern hit .067 in the match, served up one ace and threw down five team blocks.
NOTES
- Sophomore attacker Savannah Alcazar (League City, Texas) led the Lady Lions with six kills and recorded the team's only service ace.
- Freshman setter Michelle Mirarchi (Plano, Texas) handed out 13 assists and junior setter Haley Baker (Elkton, Maryland) dished out another 11 for Southeastern.
- Junior libero Lexie Torres (San Antonio, Texas) recorded a team-leading 12 digs.
- Freshman middle Tempestt Vaughn (Beaumont, Texas) had a hand in four of the Lady Lions' five blocks.

Southeastern concludes the 2017 season with four-consecutive road matches, traveling to Nicholls (Nov. 2), McNeese (Nov. 4), New Orleans (Nov. 7) and Houston Baptist (Nov. 11).
