QUOTES
Southeastern head coach Chris McBride:
On coming away with two ties on the road…
"To go out there and have two good performances on the road was important. We talked about after the game that we just have to take care of all our individual goals and have a good performance and let the results take care of themselves. We didn't come away a loser in any of the games on the road against Corpus Christi that's a hard place to go play after a long drive and against a well-organized team. Then come back and play Houston Baptist who won the conference tournament last year at their place on a Sunday, to tie that game was also good."
On answering Houston Baptist's goals…
"That was important for us. It showed a lot of our character yesterday. It showed you the mindset of the girls and where their heads are right now in the season. To show that fight to come back was very impressive for us coaches."
On the team's defensive effort...
"We're limiting their chances and the mentality of the girls right now is exceptional. They are focused to their jobs and what their goals are and it's showing up on the field. Defensively, we were very strong again."
