MOBILE, Ala. – Southeastern Louisiana dropped its second five-set match in as many days, falling to Florida International, 25-17, 20-25, 25-21, 21-25, 15-11, in volleyball action on the final day of the Jaguar Invitational.
Redshirt freshman
Elyssa Purcell (Alvin, Texas) was named to the All-Tournament team after just missing her second triple-double of the weekend for the Lady Lions (1-5). Purcell dished out a team-high 22 assists to go with 10 kills and nine assists.
FIU (2-3) claimed the first, third and deciding fifth sets to take the match. Southeastern took the second and fourth sets while shutting down the Panther offense, holding FIU to a sub-.100 attack percentage in both sets.
Madi Odom, a senior from Kingwood, Texas, joined Purcell with a double-double performance for Southeastern, contributing 12 kills and 14 digs.
Parrie Hartley, a senior from Columbus, Texas, also chipped in 12 kills.
Haley Baker, a sophomore from Elkton, Maryland, handed out an additional 21 assists.

Chloee Holden, also from Alvin, each served up three aces and the Lady Lions recorded 11 in the match.
Rachael Bunn, a senior from San Juan Capistrano, California, posted eight total blocks, including a pair of solos.
Libero
Monica Ramon, a sophomore from San Antonio, Texas, tallied a match-high 26 digs and
Macey Stock, a sophomore from Baton Rouge, Louisiana, also reached double figures with 11 digs.
Taija Thomas led all players with 15 kills, while Lina Bernier (12 kills, 16 digs) and Katie Hogan (12 kills, 12 digs) both recorded double-doubles for FIU. Mariana De Paula Silva handed out a match-high 41 assists and contributed nine digs.
Mariana Dal Pozzo and Helene Thelle also contributed double-digit digs for the Panthers.
Southeastern returns to action Thursday with a pair of matches against Portland State and UC Riverside at the USU Tournament presented by Gossner Foods in Logan, Utah.
