NACOGDOCHES, Texas – Stephen F. Austin swept past Southeastern Louisiana in straight sets Saturday, 25-18, 25-14, 26-24, in Southland Conference volleyball action.
Southeastern (6-22, 5-10 Southland) was led offensively by
Parrie Hartley (eight kills), a senior from Columbus, Texas,
Madi Odom (seven kills), a senior from Kingwood, Texas, and
Haley Baker (22 assists), a sophomore from Elkton, Maryland.
Rachael Bunn, a senior from San Juan Capistrano, California had a hand in four of the Lady Lions' six team blocks. Bunn, who has 308 total blocks in her career, is one shy of tying for third place on Southeastern's all-time blocks list.
Odom (25),
Monica Ramon (15), a sophomore from San Antonio, Texas, and Baker (10) all reached double figures in digs. For Baker, it was her seventh double-double of the season.
KK Payne led all players with 12 kills while Ann Hollas dished out a match-high 36 assists for SFA (18-9, 11-3 Southland), also recording 12 digs for a double-double.
Lexus Cain (16), Peyton Redmond (14) and Corin Evans (12) also reached double figures in digs for the Ladyjacks.
Southeastern plays its final match of the regular season Saturday at New Orleans (4-24, 1-14 Southland).
