HAMMOND, La. – The Southeastern Louisiana volleyball squad travels to in-state rival Nicholls for a Southland Conference match Tuesday at 6:30 p.m. in Stopher Gym.

Southeastern (12-16, 6-8 Southland) clinched a spot in the Southland Conference Volleyball Tournament this past Saturday. The Lady Lions are currently tied for seventh place in the conference standings, but sit just one game out of fourth place.
Landry Bullock, a junior from Spring, Texas, led the way last time out as Southeastern swept Lamar, 25-13, 25-20, 25-18. Bullock recorded a match-high 15 kills and
Sarah Friedman added 10 more for the Lady Lions
Bullock (3.09 kills per set), Friedman (2.49 k/set) and
Parrie Hartley (2.09 k/set) pace the Lady Lion offense this season under the direction of Shippy (6.58 assists per set) and
Haley Baker (5.82 a/set). Bullock ranks 10th in the conference in kills and Shippy is 10th in assists. Freshman
Monica Ramon leads the team with 30 service aces.
Brooke Balser (3.53 d/set), Ramon (2.84 digs per set) and
Madi Odom (2.13 d/set) anchor the back row defensively. Balser's average ranks ninth in the conference. Turk (0.75 b/set) an
Rachael Bunn (0.58 b/set) lead Southeastern's front-line defensive effort.
Nicholls (8-18, 3-11 Southland), which dropped a four-set decision to the Lady Lions back on Oct. 29, has won its last two matches.
Kaci Eaton (3.70 k/set), Anna Niederhauser (2.96 k/set), Kayla Mashburn (2.85 k/set) and Alyse Barclay (7.03 a/set) lead the Colonels' offensive attack. Niederhauser's 36 service aces lead the squad.
Emily Weimer (0.69 b/set), Sydney Lerille (0.67 b/set) and Kali Schwartz (0.56 b/set) are the squad's top blockers. Stephanie Tobison (3.76 d/set) and Niederhauser (3.04 d/set) anchor the back-row defense.
Southeastern returns Thursday to the University Center for a 7 p.m. conference match against Central Arkansas.
