HAMMOND, La. – The Southeastern Louisiana volleyball squad dropped a four-set decision to the University of New Orleans in Southland Conference play Tuesday at the University Center, 25-21, 25-20, 17-25, 25-16.
Southeastern (11-15, 5-7 Southland) dropped both regular-season matches to UNO (16-13, 5-7 Southland) this season.
Parrie Hartley's 12 kills led the Lady Lions.
Landry Bullock chipped in 11 more kills.
Mikayla Shippy (25 assists) and
Haley Baker (13 assists) split setting duties.
Veronica Turk played a part in all five team blocks. Freshman
Monica Ramon posted a career-high 23 digs to lead all players.
Brooke Balser (12) and
Macey Stock (11) also contributed double-digit digs for Southeastern.
Kaitlyn Grice (12) and Cara Sander (11) led the Privateers in kills while Celeste Ramirez handed out 36 assists and recorded 11 digs for a double-double performance. Grice also had a hand in six of UNO's seven blocks.
Shaylene Reimer (21) was one of three Privateers to record double-figure digs along with Blessing Dunn (11).
Southeastern hosts Sam Houston State ( 11-15, 5-7 Southland) Thursday at 7 p.m. at the University Center.
