LUBBOCK, Texas – Southeastern Louisiana ran into a hot-shooting Texas Tech team Saturday night as the Lady Raiders singed the nets at a 54.1 percent clip in a 113-51 non-conference win in the United Supermarkets Arena.

Erica Hernandez led Southeastern (0-4) for the second straight game with 14 points.
Nanna Pool added 11 points while
Chey Stewart had a team-high eight rebounds.
Taylin Underwood had nine points and three steals.
Bre Warren also had three steals as the Lady Lions collected 10 overall.

Texas Tech (2-0) had six players in double figures, led by Ivonne CookTaylor with 26 points. CookTaylor also had seven of the Lady Raiders' 17 steals. Ryann Bowser and Japreece Dean contributed 17 points each while Rayven Brooks had 15. Leashja Grant had a double-double with a game-high 12 rebounds and 13 points while Dayo Olabode added 12 points. Jamie Roe had 10 rebounds as the Lady Raiders had a 57-35 edge on the boards.

Texas Tech got out to an 18-8 lead with 4:54 left in the first quarter. Pool had gotten Southeastern to within 6-4 with a layup off an Underwood pass with 7:55 left. But Brooks, who scored 11 of her points during the run, hit a pair of 3s.

The Lady Raiders extended the lead to 28-12 at the end of the period as CookTaylor added eight points for Texas Tech which shot 68.8 percent from the field, including four of five from the 3-point arc. Pool had five for Southeastern which shot 29.4 percent in the quarter.

Texas Tech opened the second quarter on a 14-3 run, taking a 42-15 lead when Roe scored off a steal. Southeastern narrowed the gap with an 8-0 run behind a 3 by Warren and a jumper and a 3 by Hernandez with 3:26 left in the half. But the Lady Raiders answered with a 3 by Brooks that started a 15-6 run as Texas Tech took a 57-29 lead into the break.

Texas Tech shot 58.3 percent in the half while holding a 26-12 rebounding edge to overcome 14 turnovers. CookTaylor had 16 points and Brooks 15 in the first 20 minutes.

Pool scored nine points and Hernandez seven in the half as the Lady Lions shot 35.3 percent overall.
Texas Tech continued to pull away in the third quarter, out-scoring Southeastern 31-11 to take an 88-40 lead.
