COLLEGE STATION, Texas – Southeastern Louisiana will take a trip down memory lane Monday at 7 p.m. in Reed Arena as the Lion basketball squad faces former head coach Billy Kennedy and his Texas A&M program.
The game will be broadcast digitally on the SEC Network+. Live statistics will be provided, courtesy A&M, with links for stats and video available on both the front page and basketball schedule page at www.LionSports.net. There is no local radio coverage.

Southeastern (0-1) is coming off a 90-77 loss at TCU this past Friday in its season opener. Senior guard
Zay Jackson, a native of Hammond, Louisiana, scored a game-high 19 points for the Lions.
Mike Hawkins and
Keith Charleston each contributed nine points. Charleston was also the Lions' leading rebounder with seven boards.
Southeastern shot 41.5 percent (27-of-65) from the floor, including 35.7 percent (10-of-28) from 3-point range. The Lions were 13-of-20 (65 percent) from the free throw line. TCU out-rebounded Southeastern, 40-34.
A&M (1-0) is coming off a 104-64 season-opening win over South Carolina Upstate. DJ Hogg led the Aggies with 20 points. Tyler Davis (16), Admon Gilder (16), Danuel House (15), Tonny Trocha-Morelos (12) and Elijah Thomas (11) also scored in double figures. Davis led the team with seven rebounds while Higg and House each grabbed six boards.
The Aggies shot 66.7 percent (38-of-57) from the floor, including 54.2 percent (13-of-24) from 3-point range. A&M was 15-of-27 (55.6 percent) from the free throw line and out-rebounded Upstate, 46-28.
A&M is coached by former Lion head coach Billy Kennedy. A 1986 graduate of Southeastern, Kennedy served as the head of the Lion hoops program from 1999-2005 compiling an 80-92 record. The New Orleans, Louisiana, native coached Southeastern to a pair of Southland Conference titles and its only appearance in the NCAA Tournament (2005). Kennedy also served as a student assistant coach (1985-86) while earning his Bachelor's of Arts in social studies education from Southeastern.
Kennedy last coached against the Lions while the head coach at Centenary, defeating Southeastern, 69-62, in Hammond. He is 1-1 all-time coaching against his alma mater.
Former Lion hoops star Amir Abdur-Rahim is a member of Kennedy's staff. A three-time All-Southland selection, Abdur-Rahim led Southeastern in scoring all three seasons and finished as the Lions' eighth all-time scorer with 1,282 points.
Following the contest at A&M the Lions return to the University Center, hosting Mississippi College at 7 p.m. Wednesday in the 2015-16 home opener.
Courtside Top Cat seats are $25 for an individual game. General admission tickets are $7 for adults and $5 for children (age 3-12). Southeastern students will be admitted free with a valid university ID card.
