HAMMOND, La. – Five Lady Lions established career highs Thursday as Southeastern Louisiana upended third-place Stephen F. Austin, 25-20, 21-25, 25-21, 25-18, in a Southland Conference match at the University Center.

Southeastern (9-11, 3-3 Southland) powered away from SFA (13-11, 5-3 Southland) down the stretch behind an offense that posted a season-high .297 attack percentage.

With the match even at one set apiece, middle blocker Landry Bullock took charge of the Lady Lion attack. The junior from Spring, Texas, tallied 12 of her career-high 19 kills in the third set.

In the fourth and final set, Sarah Friedman combined with Veronica Turk to help put away the match. Friedman, a sophomore outside hitter from Houston, Texas, picked up seven of her career-high 18 kills in the final set. Turk, a senior middle blocker from Pearland, Texas, chipped in an additional five kills in the set to help pace the offense.

Bullock and Friedman established new career highs with the help of setter Mikayla Shippy. The senior from Pueblo West, Colorado, handed a career-high 57 assists directing Southeastern's offensive attack. Off those assists, Parrie Hartley added 13 kills and Turk recorded 12 more for the Lady Lions.

Senior libero Brooke Balser and defensive specialist Macey Stock, a freshman from Baton Rouge, Louisiana, also set career highs. A native of Ponchatoula, Louisiana, Balser led all players with 25 digs and Stock recorded 13, reaching double-digit digs for the first time in her Southeastern career.

Hartley, who chipped in 11 digs, recorded the fourth double-double performance of her career and Madi Odom added 10 more digs for the Lady Lions.

Justice Walker led the Ladyjack offensive attack with 18 kills. McKenzie Hanna added an additional 11 kills while Shannon Connell dished out 42 assists. OJ Olson's 24 digs were tops on the squad and Lexus Cain chipped in 13 more digs for SFA.
