NEW ORLEANS, La. – The Southeastern Louisiana volleyball squad dropped a three-set decision in Southland Conference play at the University of New Orleans, 25-22, 25-22, 25-23, Saturday at the Human Performance Center.

New Orleans (11-9, 2-3 Southland) beat Southeastern (8-11, 2-3 Southland) for the first time since joining the Southland.

Parrie Hartley (12 kills) and Landry Bullock (11 kills) paced the Lady Lion offensive attack under the direction of Haley Baker (19 assists) and Mikayla Shippy (17 assists). Veronica Turk had a hand in five of Southeastern's seven team blocks. Monica Ramon led all players with 13 digs.

Cara Sander led UNO with 10 kills. Sara Hammoutene (19 assists) and Celeste Ramirez (13 assists) split setting duties. Kaitlyn Grice had a hand in six of the team's 11 blocks and Laruen Levy recorded a squad-leading nine digs for the Privateers.

Southeastern returns home to host Stephen F. Austin, Thursday at 7 p.m. in the Dig Pink match, and Northwestern State, homecoming Saturday at 2 p.m.
