Baptiste Courtachon shot one-over par over the first two rounds and sits in a tie for 15
th place after the opening day of the Graeme McDowell/Shoal Creek Invitational on Monday at the Shoal Creek Country Club.
The Lions, ranked No. 35 in the most recent Golfweek national rankings, is currently in eighth place after the first 36 holes. Southeastern carded a team score of 10-over-par 586 on Monday and are a stroke behind seventh-place Georgia Southern and four strokes behind sixth-place Central Florida.
Courtachon, who has two top-10 finishes already this fall, was consistent throughout the day, backing up an opening round 73 with an even-par 72. Also representing the Lions were junior

Paul Obermann (+5, T31st) and freshman
Gustavo Leon (+6, T33rd).

Grady Brame's Monday was a tale of two rounds. The Hammond native opened the day with an opening round two-under-par 70 to sit in a tie for fifth after the first 18 holes. The second round did not go Brame's way, as he fired an 82 and dropped to a tie for 43
rd (+8).
Defending national champion Alabama shot 10-under-par on Monday and holds a six-stroke lead over North Florida. Tom Lovelady of Alabama finished eight-under par to take a four-stroke lead in the individual standings.
