Southeastern Heads to Turtle Point Invite

SLU competes Monday and Tuesday in Killen, Ala.

HAMMOND, La. –The Southeastern Louisiana University men's golf team will return to action this week, traveling to Killen, Ala. to compete in the Turtle Point Invite Monday and Tuesday at the Turtle Point Yacht and Country Club.
 
The first two rounds are set for Monday at 9 a.m. with Tuesday's final round also teeing off at 9 a.m. Live scoring, provided by host North Alabama, will be accessible via the men's golf schedule page at www.LionSports.net. Southeastern will be paired with host North Alabama for Monday's first two rounds.
 
Southeastern and UNA will be joined in the field competing on the par-72, 7,035-yard course. The field also includes New Orleans, Alabama A&M, Alabama State, Evansville, Missouri State, Samford and Weber State. Individuals from Alabama, Auburn, Kentucky, Memphis, Troy and Vanderbilt will also be competing this week.
 
SLU finished sixth at last week's Bubba Barnett Intercollegiate behind strong performances by David Marsh (-2, T6th) and Colby Sullivan (+1, T13th). Marsh and Sullivan will be in the starting five with Gavin Ingram and Noah Bumgarner, while Patrick Blaum will make his 2025-26 debut for SLU this week. Lorenzo Palmieri will represent the Lions as an individual.
 
This week's tournament is the fourth of five this fall for SLU. The Lions will close out the fall portion of their 2025-26 schedule at the LaTour Intercollegiate Oct. 20 and 21 in Mathews, La.
