The Lions (2-0) will be looking for its first 3-0 start since 1980, when if faces the host Green Wave (0-2). The contest will be televised live on ESPN3. The game will also be broadcast live in the Hammond area on the flagship station of Southeastern Football, KSLU-FM (90.9), as well as affiliates and Northshore Broadcasting stations Kajun 107.1 FM (WHMD) and The Highway 104.7 FM (WJSH).
Southeastern will be looking to buck several trends, as the Lions are 0-6 all-time versus Tulane and 0-18 versus FBS opponents since the program returned in 2003. However, SLU is also looking to extend its seven-game win streak versus in-state opponents that dates back to 2011.
"This is a great opportunity for us to play a team of Tulane's caliber and athleticism," Southeastern head coach
Ron Roberts said. "We're excited about playing in front of a sold out stadium and this will be a great gauge to see where we are as a football team."
The Lions opened the season with home victories over Jacksonville (44-3) and Southern Utah (41-14). Tulane is looking for its first win of the season, after falling to Tulsa (38-31, 2 OT) and Georgia Tech (38-21) to open the season.
The Southeastern offense is averaging 520 yards per game heading into Saturday's contest. Senior quarterback and Walter Payton Award candidate
Bryan Bennett runs the show for the Lions. The Granada Hills, California native has thrown for 535 yards and four touchdowns, while also rushing for a team-high 163 yards and two scores.

The Lion offense will be facing a Tulane defense that has 951 yards and 76 points through the first two games. Senior Sam Scofield (20 tackles) and sophomore Nico Marley (17 tackles) have been the most productive defenders, while freshman Parry Nickerson leads the team with two interceptions.
The Southeastern defense has held opponents to 17 points and 586 total yards to start the season. Senior
Isiah Corbett leads the team with 18 tackles and 3.5 tackles for loss, followed by seniors
Tyler Stoddard and
Drew Misita with 15 and 13 stops, respectively.
Junior
Jordan Batiste, who was a two-time All-Conference USA selection at Tulane, has forced a fumble and intercepted a pass in his first two games with the Lions. Junior
Micah Eugene has returned a fumble for a touchdown, while Misita and senior
Marice Sutton each have an interception.
The Lions will be charged with slowing down a Green Wave offense that is averaging 26 points and 421.5 yards per contest. Freshman Tanner Lee has thrown for 435 yards and five touchdowns in his first two collegiate games with senior Justyn Shackleford (13 catches, 175 yards, 1 TD). Freshman Sherman Badie leads the TU rushing attack with 230 yards and a touchdown.
Saturday's game will be the first of three straight away from home for SLU. Next Saturday, the Lions travel to Southeast Missouri for a 6 p.m. contest in Cape Girardeau, Mo. The game will be streamed live on the OVC Digital Network.
