THIBODAUX, La. – The Southeastern Louisiana volleyball team will play its next four matches on the road, beginning with a 7 p.m. Southland Conference contest Thursday at Nicholls State. SLU will follow that match with a 2 p.m. conference contest Saturday at McNeese State.
Southeastern (8-14, 5-5 Southland) sits in seventh place, one game ahead of Nicholls State (8-15, 4-6 Southland). At the end of the regular season the top eight teams will advance to the conference tournament. McNeese State (12-14, 2-8 Southland) will face the Lady Lions for the first time since SLU won in four sets, Oct. 7, in Hammond.

The Lady Lions split a pair of conference matches last week, defeating Incarnate Word and falling to Abilene Christian at home.

Parrie Hartley (2.14 kills per set),
Tiffany Thomas (2.12 k/set) and
Mikayla Shippy (9.03 assists per set) are leading the way for Southeastern offensively.
Rachael Bunn is the team leader in blocks (1.06 b/set), ranking fifth in the conference, and
Morgan Todd is fourth in the Southland with 4.93 digs per set.
Nicholls snapped a four-match losing streak, Tuesday, with a five-set win over Abilene Christian.
The Colonels feature two of the top players in the conference. Kaci Eaton is second in digs per set (4.22) while libero Kalynn Eagea leads the Southland with 5.78 digs per set. Ainsley Marroccoli (6.55 a/set) and Alyse Barclay (4.33 a/set) split setting duties for Nicholls.
McNeese has dropped its last two matches.
Rachel Cagnina (2.92 k/set), Amber Fryer (2.69 k/set), Malina Sanchez (2.07 k/set) and Kelly Graham (9.16 a/set) pace the Cowgirl offense. Sanchez (3.74 d/set) and Kimberlyn Patterson (3.43 d/set) anchor the back row for McNeese.
Southeastern travels to Sam Houston State (Nov. 6) and Lamar (Nov. 8) to complete the trip.
