NACOGDOCHES, Texas – The Southeastern Louisiana volleyball team dropped a three-set Southland Conference decision Thursday at Stephen F. Austin, 25-10, 25-19, 25-18.
Southeastern (7-12, 4-3 Southland), which struggled offensively in the contest, had its two-match winning streak snapped. SFA (14-7, 7-0 Southland) stayed undefeated in conference action.
Freshman
Sarah Friedman, a native of Houston, Texas, led Southeastern with eight kills.
Landry Bullock and
Veronica Turk each added six kills.
Mikayla Shippy handed out 20 assists.
Morgan Todd (14) and
Brooke Balser (10) each recorded double-digit dig totals.
Justice Walker (11) and Jill Ivy (10) led the Ladyjacks in kills while Paige Holland dished out 32 assists. Tori Bates and OJ Olson posted 10 digs apiece.
Northwestern State, the Lady Lions' upcoming opponent, knocked off the University of New Orleans in three sets Thursday at Prather Coliseum in Natchitoches, Louisiana.
