Southeastern Faces No. 7-Ranked Ole Miss In Mid-Week Pair

Lions open five-game road swing

First baseman Aaron Haag leads Southeastern with 13 RBIs
OXFORD, Miss. – The Southeastern Louisiana University baseball team travels to No. 7-ranked   Ole Miss for a pair of mid-week contests beginning Tuesday.

Both games can be heard in the Hammond area on KSLU-FM (90.9), on the internet through the Southeastern athletics website as well as on the KSLU iPhone and TuneIn Radio apps. Live stats, courtesy of Ole Miss, will also be available. Links to audio and stats are located on the baseball schedule page at  www.LionSports.net.

The Lions will send freshman left-hander Kyle Cedotal (2-1, 3.86) to the mound Tuesday at 5 p.m. against sophomore right-hander Josh Laxer (0-0, 2.25). Wednesday, Kaleb Manuel (0-0, 0.00) earns his second career start in the 11 a.m. matinee game against Rebel freshman Brady Bramlett (0-0, 0.00).

Southeastern (8-2) is led at the plate by Harry Slade (.444), Aaron Haag (.306) and Ladd Rhodes (.304). Haag and Sam Roberson have hit Southeastern's home runs while Haag leads the team with 13 RBIs.

The Lions swept a three-game series from Texas Southern this past weekend that included Jordan Hymel throwing the fourth no-hitter in school history. Ole Miss swept three games, in Miami, Fla., from Florida International.

Stuart Turner leads Ole Miss (11-1) with a .417 average, two home runs and 14 RBIs. Auston Bousfield and Cameron Dishon have each stolen four bases in four attempts.

Southeastern travels to Troy, Ala., this weekend for a series of games with Hartford and the host Trojans.
