Box Score NEW ORLEANS, La. – The Southeastern Louisiana University baseball team dropped a 3-2 decision to Tulane Wednesday in 10 innings at Greer Field at Turchin Stadium.
Southeastern (11-6) scored two runs in the sixth to take a 2-1 lead.
Harry Slade hit a line-drive single up the middle to open the inning and then stole second base. With one out, Tulane second baseman Bowen Woodson had trouble handling
Jameson Fisher's grounder and threw wide of the bag at first, allowing Slade to score to tie the game.
Jesse Buratt followed with a double down the left-field line, driving in Fisher, to give Southeastern the lead.
Lion reliever
Dylan Hills (0-1) worked out of a runner-at-third, no-out situation in the seventh without allowing a run, but a hit batter leading off the ninth and a walk to lead off the 10th each scored.
Green Wave reliever Andrew Garner (1-0) picked up the win while Hills suffered the loss. Tulane (10-9) now leads the season series two games to one.
Southeastern faces Arkansas-Pine Bluff at 6 p.m. Friday in the opener of a three-game series at Pat Kenelly Diamond at Alumni Field.
