NEW ORLEANS, La. – Fresh off a season-opening sweep of Tennessee-Martin, the Southeastern Louisiana University baseball team heads out on the road Tuesday for the first time in 2013.

Blake Crohan (.500) leads the Green Wave in hitting, but has only played in one game. Sean Potkay (.286), Brandon Boudreaux (.250) and Brennan Middleton (.231) are the top-hitting regulars in the Tulane lineup.

The Green Wave participated in the Texas State Tournament in San Marcos, Texas, this past weekend. Tulane defeated Southland Conference-foe Sam Houston State Friday, 2-0. Mapes picked up the loss Saturday in a 2-0 decision against former Southland-foe Texas State. Sunday the Green Wave rebounded to knock off Missouri State, 6-4.

Southeastern and Tulane are each receiving votes in the latest National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association poll.
