The Lions set a school record with 10 stolen bases Saturday, defeating Central Michigan 8-1 in Lake Charles, La.
Jackson State (5-6) split a doubleheader Sunday at Mississippi Valley State. The Tigers dropped the first game, 3-2, before coming back with a 10-8 victory in the second game.
Kendall Logan (.421), Charles Epperson (.400) and Glenn Walker (.294) lead the Tigers in hitting. Jackson State is hitting .263 as a team and the pitching staff has compiled a 5.30 ERA.
The Lions return home to Pat Kenelly Diamond at Alumni Field Wednesday to host Alcorn State in a 6 p.m. game.
