HAMMOND – Southeastern Louisiana travels to Tulane Tuesday, carrying an undefeated record, after sweeping through a seven-game season-opening homestand.

The Lions (7-0) will send junior left-hander Buck Bernard to the mound as they face the Green Wave (7-1) in the first of three matchups this season. Bernard enters the game with no decisions and a 6.75 ERA. He'll be opposed by junior right-hander Alex Byo (0-1, 11.25).

First pitch is scheduled for 6:30 p.m. at Greer Field at Turchin Stadium. The game can be heard in the Hammond area on KSLU-FM (90.9) and live statistics will be available at www.LionSports.net.

Southeastern defeated Eastern Illinois 1-0 Sunday, sweeping the weekend series from the Panthers and extending its win streak to seven games.

Brock Hebert (.522), Jonathan Pace (.318) and Harry Slade (.308) lead the Lions in hitting. Southeastern is batting .249 as a team after facing Indiana State, Louisiana-Lafayette and EIU to open the 2012 season.

The Green Wave swept Indiana this past weekend, including a pair of one-run victories. Tulane's only loss this season came last Tuesday at Louisiana-Monroe.

Brennan Middleton (.480), Nick Schneeberger (.412) and Brandon Boudreaux (.355) lead Tulane in hitting. The Green Wave are hitting .336 as team.

Southeastern plays its next five games on the road before returning home to Pat Kenelly Diamond at Alumni Field for a March 7 contest against Alcorn State.
