Looking to build momentum for the 2013 season, Southeastern (3-6, 3-2 SLC) enters its final stretch of the season that includes Saturday's game against SFA (4-5, 3-2 SLC) before Thursday's regular-season finale at Nicholls State in the annual River Bell Classic. A win by the Lions in either league game would equal the best Southland Conference mark (last set in 2009) while two wins would give Southeastern its first five-win conference slate since finishing 5-1-1 under former coach Billy Brewer in 1978.
Stanley, who rates third in the Southland Conference in passing average (183.6), has completed 156 of 292 passes for 1,652 yards and seven touchdowns. Junior
Tony McCrea has been Stanley's favorite target on the season with 25 receptions followed by
Stanley Moore (24),
Marquis Fruge' (22), freshman
Jeff Smiley (18) and
Jeremy Meyers (15).
Freshman
Xavier Roberson has paced the Southeastern running game with 282 yards and a pair of touchdowns with fellow freshman
Rasheed Harrell next with 153 yards.
Defensively,

John Graves with 55. Texas Tech transfer
Cqulin Hubert has tallied 49 tackles and 7.5 stops for loss in his first season with the Lions with
Tyler Stoddard (46),
Marice Sutton (43), Walker (40, 9 tackles for loss, 5.0 sacks) and
Theo Alexander (40) next.
SFA, which is looking for its fourth consecutive winning season under head coach J.C. Harper, defeated Lamar in its last contest, 40-26, as the high octane Lumberjacks recorded 537 yards of total offense.
Quarterback Brady Attaway has directed an SFA offense that leads all FCS schools in passing offense (416.0 yards per game) while ranking second in total offense (513.44 yards per game). The junior has completed 287 of 493 passes for 3,285 yards with 26 TDs and 18 interceptions.
All-American receiver Cordell Roberson has caught a career-best 74 receptions for 951 yards and nine TDs. The senior has caught 218 passes in his career – 11 shy of tying the Southland Conference record set by former Southeastern receiver
Simmie Yarborough from 2008-11.
Freshman D.J. Ward (50 receptions, 4 TDs) and Hammond native and former St. Thomas Aquinas product Ryan Gambel (42 catches, 2 TDs) are next for SFA with Gus Johnson leading the Lumberjacks on the ground with 619 yards and nine TDs.
Collin Garrett, a transfer from Kansas, leads SFA with 82 tackles on the season with Ryan Epperson (70 stops) and Cedric Barlow (68) next. Barlow and Josh Aubrey have intercepted a pair of passes each for the Lumberjacks while Darren Robinson (7.5 sacks) and Willie Jefferson (5.0 sacks) lead a defensive unit that has recorded 25 sacks on the season, tied with Central Arkansas for most in the league.
SFA leads the all-time series that dates back to 1950, 9-5-1, and are 4-2-1 against the Lions in Hammond. The Lumberjacks have won the past four meetings, including a 28-20 decision last season in Nacogdoches and a 41-10 victory in the previous meeting in Hammond in 2009.
