HAMMOND - Southeastern Louisiana University and Lions baseball will hold a ground breaking ceremony on a new indoor hitting facility on Wednesday at 10 a.m. The event will take place at the site, located behind the left-field fence at Pat Kenelly Diamond at Alumni Field.

The public is invited to attend.

Parking for the event will be available on the first floor of the Parking Garage adjacent to Strawberry Stadium. A reception will follow in the Victory Club (fifth floor) of Strawberry Stadium beginning at 10:30.

Southeastern, which won a school-record 40 games last season, will open its 2011 campaign in Miami, Fla., on Feb. 18 against Florida International in a three-game series that will be televised on ESPN3.com with the series finale scheduled for a live broadcast on ESPNU.
