Lady Lions Return Home, Host Lamar

Southeastern Begins Four-Match Homestand

HAMMOND – The Southeastern volleyball team begins a four-match homestand Thursday hosting Lamar in a Southland Conference contest at the University Center.

First serve is scheduled for 7 p.m. and live statistics will be available at www.LionSports.net.

The Lady Lions are led by Courtney Donald (216 kills, 2.27 kills per set), Paige Dollison (198 kills), Elizabeth Ramee (176 kills) and Kinsey Williams (171 kills). Dollison is also Southeastern's leading blocker with 68 total blocks.

Sophomore Lindsey Young leads the Lady Lions with 715 assists and 28 service aces (ninth-best in the Southland); Young is fifth in total kills (100) and second in digs (217). Megan McMillin leads the team in digs (308) and her per set average (3.42) is ninth-best in the conference.

Southeastern (4-23, 0-10 Southland) dropped a pair of matches last week at Nicholls State, 3-2, and Sam Houston State, 3-0.

Lamar (7-18, 5-5 Southland) defeated the Lady Lions earlier this season in the conference opener, 25-19, 18-25, 25-20, 25-18, in Beaumont, Texas. The Lady Cardinals have dropped their last three matches snapping a three-match conference winning streak.

Sierra Whitaker leads Lamar with 3.12 kills per set, sixth-best in the conference, and is followed by Megan McStravick (2.53) and Cynthia McCollum (2.01). Alex Moford is seventh in the Southland with 9.56 assists per set and Angel Colyar is also seventh in the conference with 3.94 digs per set.

Southeastern also hosts McNeese State Saturday, Texas-Arlington on Nov. 3 and Texas State Nov. 5 for Senior Day.
