HAMMOND – After competing in a pair of tournaments in its first two weekends of action, the Southeastern Louisiana University volleyball team will continue on its 12-match season-opening road trip on Tuesday when it visits in-state rival Louisiana-Lafayette at Earl K. Long Gym.

Southeastern (5-3) competes in its first midweek contest of the season after opening the season at the Jackson State Lady Tiger Invitational before competing last weekend in the South Alabama Jaguar Classic. The Lady Lions opened with losses to host USA and UNC-Asheville before defeating Alabama A&M and Alabama State.

Allison Jones leads Southeastern at the net averaging 2.25 kills per set followed by
Courtney Donald at 2.15.
Taylor Buckner (1.76) and
Paige Dollison (1.68) are next in kills per set for the Lady Lions followed by the freshman tandem of
Stephanie Mueller (1.52) and
Cherish Krohn (1.47).
Arianne Cruckshank leads Southeastern with 8.00 assists per set followed by freshman
Lindsey Young (5.15). Senior
Alex Greer, who needs 24 digs to become the 10th player in school history with 1,000, paces Southeastern with 3.42 digs per set with junior college transfer
Chelsea Barr next at 3.18.
ULL (6-1) is off to the program's best start since 1990 and won their first regular season tournament title since 2002 after an unblemished 3-0 weekend to secure the Ragin' Cajuns Invitational championship.
Lesley Mirarchi leads the Ragin Cajuns with 86 kills (3.07 k/set) while Lindsay Brown has collected 147 digs (5.25 p/set).
