In the bottom of the seventh, Wood and Henson hit consecutive two-out singles to put the winning run on base. But Morse beared down and the Ponchatoula native forced Texada to ground out to end the game.
Southeastern will be back in action this weekend, hosting Sam Houston State for a three-game Southland Conference series at North Oak Park. The series opens with a 3 p.m. doubleheader on Saturday and concludes with a 12 p.m. contest on Sunday.
